Within ten (10) days after his appointment the administrator or executor shall proceed to make an inventory of the real and personal property belonging to the estate of the decedent and for that purpose shall give ten (10) days’ notice to the heirs and legatees and their legal representatives, if they have made their appearance in the proceeding, the surviving spouse or his or her legal representative, the creditors who are parties thereto, and the special guardian or legal representatives of the minor or incapacitated persons.
