When grandchildren inherit from their grandparents in representation of their parents, surviving with their uncles or cousins, they shall bring to collation all that their parents, if alive, would have been required to bring, even though they may not have inherited it.
They shall also bring to collation whatever they may have received from the testator during his life, unless the testator has disposed otherwise, in which case his will must be respected should it not prejudice the legal portion of the coheirs.
