§ 1242. Removal of tree

When any large tree threatens to fall in such a way as to cause damage to another person’s tenement or to persons passing over a public or private road, the owner of the tree is obliged to pull it down and remove it; and should he fail to do so, it shall be done at his expense by order of the authorities.
