Before entering upon the discharge of his duties, the administrator shall make an inventory with an appraisement of the property of the absentee over which his administration extends, before the Court of First Instance appointing him or before a notary public duly authorized to that effect by such court; and he shall, besides, give good and sufficient security to the amount of the inventory, to the satisfaction of the Superior Court, for the conduct of his administration.
