(a) General rule.— The Secretary or any of the agents, officers, officials, or employees designated by him/her to enforce the provisions of parts II, IV, V, VI and VII of this subtitle, as well as the provisions of §§ 111 et seq. of Title 15 and §§ 801 et seq. of Title 15 relating to lotteries, shall have all the powers conferred by the laws of Puerto Rico to Law Enforcement Officers including, but not limited to, the power of the officers of the Puerto Rico Police to have, bear, possess, transport, and carry arms under the provisions of §§ 455 et seq. of Title 25, known as the “Puerto Rico Weapons Act”, as well as the power to make arrests pursuant to the provisions of Rule No. 11 of the Rules of Criminal Procedure of 1963, for the General Court of Justice, as amended.
(b) Bonded officials and employees.— The Secretary shall designate the officers, officials, and employees entrusted with the administration of the parts in this Code who, in his/her judgment, should be bonded.
