§ 2115. Definition

For the purpose of applying the provisions of this chapter, the term “V-Chip” shall mean any mechanism or electronic device with the capacity to recognize the ratings of the television programs under the Program Rating System and to block or obstruct the viewing or reception of any program on the television screen classified under a common rating or more than one rating, and whose reception is not desired. “Program Rating” shall mean any agreement voluntarily reached among commercial television stations in the United States to inform the public about the sexual, violent and lewd language contents of every program aired or broadcast.
