After payment by the buyer of all the sums due under a contract, the seller or holder shall be bound to submit to the pertinent registry within sixty (60) days from the date of cancellation all documents that may be needed, or perform any actions required for the cancellation of the liens on the goods pursuant to the regulations or guidelines established to such ends by the Department of State, the Department of Transportation and Public Works, or any other body designated to register such contracts, and to notify the buyer of the efforts carried out for the cancellation and extinction of the lien. Upon the request of the buyer, the seller or holder shall be bound to furnish a copy of said documents, at no cost.
