§ 342. Definitions

The term “warehouse”, as used in §§ 341—371 of this title, shall be deemed to mean every house, building or premises within the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, in which any agricultural product is or may be stored.

The term “agricultural product”, wherever used in §§ 341—371 of this title, shall include cotton, fertilizer, grains and grain products, tobacco, coffee, sugar, rice, beans, and horticultural, forestry, dairy, livestock, poultry, apicultural and other agricultural products or any by-product thereof.

The term “fungible product”, as used in §§ 341—371 of this title, shall be deemed to mean grain, rice, beans and other products handled in bulk and shall not include these products handled in sacks.

As used in §§ 341—371 of this title, “person” includes a corporation, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, municipality, joint-stock company, partnership, association or individual.

The term “warehouseman” means a person lawfully engaged in the business of storing agricultural products; and “receipt” means a warehouse receipt.
