§ 1367. Mergers or consolidations—Limits

No cooperative shall merge or consolidate with another cooperative, except as provided in §§ 1367a and 1368f of this title. Cooperatives shall not sell their assets nor acquire obligations or debts insurable by the Corporation, except in the normal course of business, with the prior authorization of the Corporation and pursuant to what is established by regulations.
