The flag of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico shall be the one traditionally known heretofore as the Puerto Rican Flag, and which is rectangular in form, with five alternate horizontal stripes, three red and two white, and having next to the staff a blue equilateral triangle with a five-point white star. On the vertical side this triangle stretches along the entire width of the flag.
