Physical and mental health is fundamental for the optimum development of children. The State shall provide special physical and mental health services and shall adopt the necessary measures to prevent and fight diseases, rehabilitate, prevent malnutrition, reduce child mortality and insure an adequate health education directed to children as well as their parents or guardians.
Children intervened [for] by the State to receive health treatment or assistance shall have the right to have their condition evaluated periodically and to their representative informed thereof.
