§ 3211c. Obligations—Non-resident sales dealer of motor vehicles or trailers

Any non-resident sales dealer of motor vehicles or trailers and who wishes to participate in an auction proceeding held by a redistributor of motor vehicles or trailers shall:

(a) Present the official license issued by the state in which said dealer conducts his/her operations and that authorizes the latter to engage in the sale of motor vehicles or trailers as well as the driver’s license issued by the state in which the person who represents said dealer before the redistributor of motor vehicles or trailers resides. The non-resident dealer shall also present evidence of registration of the enterprise, business, company or dealership in the Register of Non-Resident Sales Dealers of Motor Vehicles or Trailers, which shall be created and maintained by the Secretary of Transportation and Public Works, as provided in § 3206 of this title.

(b) Present the official license issued by the country in which said dealer conducts his/her operations and that authorizes the latter to engage in the sale of motor vehicles or trailers, as well as the passport of the person who represents said dealer before the redistributor of motor vehicles or trailers. The non-resident dealer shall also present evidence of registration of the enterprise, business, company or dealership in the Register of Non-Resident Sales Dealers of Motor Vehicles or Trailers, which shall be created and maintained by the Secretary of Transportation and Public Works, as provided in § 3206 of this title.
