§ 2097. Alternate methods of transporation; sign

(a) To direct the Department of Transportation and Public Works to design a sign to indicate that drinking and driving do not mix and that the management of all businesses or commercial establishments shall assist in obtaining alternative safe transportation if necessary. The sign shall be written in not less than seventy-two (72) -point lettering.

(b) All persons, all businesses or commercial establishments with a license to sell and serve alcoholic beverages to be consumed within the premises shall place a sign in a visible area as designed by the Department of Transportation and Public Works.

(c) All persons, all businesses or commercial establishments with a license to sell and serve alcoholic beverages to be consumed within the premises shall assist consumers who wish to obtain alternative safe transportation if they so request. The assistance to be provided without charge to the consumer shall consist of three (3) telephone calls to persons or transportation providers.

Any person, business or commercial establishment with a license to sell and serve alcoholic beverages to be consumed within the premises that violates this section shall be subject to a fine not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100).
