§ 3927. Engaging in another business prohibited

No corporation organized under this chapter may engage in another business which is not the rendering of the professional services for which it was incorporated, or the auxiliary or complementary services thereto; Provided, however, That nothing contained in this subtitle, or in any other provision of law applicable to corporations, shall be interpreted as prohibiting a corporation from investing its funds in real property, mortgages, stock or any other type of investments, or from being the owner of the personal or real property necessary and desirable to carry out the rendering of the professional services for which it was incorporated.
