§ 833. Quarantine provisions

Each and every place where there is one or more hogs and where hog cholera exists or is diagnosed in any hog by a veterinarian of the Commonwealth or federal Government is hereby declared under quarantine for a period of at least forty (40) days. No hog shall be removed from such a place for any purpose whatsoever during a period of at least forty (40) days following the date on which the last case of hog cholera was detected. Swine dying from hog cholera must be cremated at once. It shall be unlawful for any person to remove any hog from the place under quarantine in violation of the provisions of this section, and it shall also be unlawful to remove or dispose of any swine dying from hog cholera in a manner other than that prescribed in this section.
