Veterinaries and other inspectors and officers of the Government, on receiving information of the supposed existence of any infectious or contagious disease among animals, shall proceed to the place mentioned, with all practicable speed, and discharge their duties pursuant to the provisions of §§ 661—694 of this title, and the regulations made under the authority thereof, and the instructions received by them.
