P.R. Laws tit. 5, § 613i
There shall not be introduced into Puerto Rico from any state, territory or district of the United States or from any other country adult bees (queen bees, workers and drones or male bees) of all the species of the Apis genus, or eggs, larvae, nymphs or pupas, or honeycombs; Provided, That there may be introduced into Puerto Rico when in suitable cages, queen bees, together with a number of workers which shall not exceed thirty (30) and without a honeycomb containing eggs, larvae, nymphs or other bees. Introduction in these cases shall be made upon previous permit granted by the Secretary and under those conditions that the Secretary may prescribe in the permit.
