§ 613g. Introduction of insects

The introduction into Puerto Rico of any insect alive or dead or in any stage of development, or of any plant pest, is hereby prohibited, unless authorized upon previous permit granted by the Secretary, and unless made in accordance with the conditions that the Secretary may prescribe in the permit.

The Secretary may refuse to issue a permit for the introduction into Puerto Rico of any insect alive or dead or in any stage of development or of any plant pest when said introduction may involve any risk of propagation of such insect or plant pest.
