§ 531. Damages by harmful substances

If any commercial fertilizer or amendment to the soil contains substances harmful to vegetation, even though its purity may be guaranteed by the manufacturer or distributor and the composition of the respective commercial fertilizer or amendment to the soil may correspond to the stipulated guarantee, the purchaser may claim from the manufacturer or distributor and damages suffered, provided the presence of such harmful substances is the cause of the damage to the plantation where said commercial fertilizer or amendment to the soil is used.
