The Manager of the State Insurance Fund is hereby authorized to make, and he shall make, with the approval of the Governor of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or of the official designated by him, the necessary arrangements for providing from time to time out of his regular funds the sums required to pay the salary of the Director of the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy School sponsored by the State Insurance Fund and affiliated with the University of Puerto Rico, defray the cost of any survey and research work in the field of physical therapy and rehabilitation that, on request of the Fund, it may be necessary to undertake under the direction of the School of Medicine, as well as the salaries of the teaching and administrative personnel and any other incidental expense for the operation of the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy School that the School of Medicine or the University of Puerto Rico may have to defray by mutual agreement with the State Insurance Fund.
