The said hospital shall be used for the hospitalization and treatment of workmen injured in labor accidents or workmen who contract occupational diseases covered by §§ 1—42 of this title, and it may likewise be used with nonprofit purposes for the hospitalization and specialized treatment of all kinds of traumatic injuries and occupational diseases suffered by any member of the community, and to this end the Manager of the State Insurance Fund is hereby authorized to enter into contracts with the Department of Health, the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, and any other public agency or private institution wishing to use the specialized services of the institution.
