Section 75-7b20 - Licensure; examination; interview; investigation(a) The attorney general shall require as a condition of licensure as a private detective that the applicant or, if the applicant is an organization, any of its officers, directors, partners or associates: (1) Pass a written examination as evidence of knowledge of detective business; and(2) submit to an oral interview with the attorney general or the attorney general's designee.(b) The attorney general shall conduct a complete investigation of the background of each applicant for licensure as a private detective or, if the applicant is an organization, of each of the applicant's officers, directors, partners or associates, to determine whether the applicant is qualified for licensure under K.S.A. 75-7b04 and amendments thereto.L. 1981, ch. 326, § 5; July 1.
