Section 65-1718 - Disposition of moneys; mortuary arts fee fund
(a) The state board of mortuary arts shall remit all moneys received by or for it from fees, charges or penalties to the state treasurer in accordance with the provisions of K.S.A. 75-4215, and amendments thereto. Upon receipt of each such remittance, the state treasurer shall deposit the entire amount in the state treasury. Ten percent of each such deposit shall be credited to the state general fund and the balance shall be credited to the mortuary arts fee fund. All expenditures from such fund shall be made in accordance with appropriation acts upon warrants of the director of accounts and reports issued pursuant to vouchers approved by the secretary of the state board of mortuary arts or by a person or persons designated by the secretary.
(b) On July 1, 1985, the director of accounts and reports shall transfer all moneys in the embalming board fee fund to the mortuary arts fee fund. On July 1, 1985, all liabilities of the embalming board fee fund are hereby imposed upon the mortuary arts fee fund, and the embalming board fee fund is hereby abolished.
(c) Whenever the embalming board fee fund, or words of like effect, is referred to or designated by a statute, contract or other document, such reference or designation shall be deemed to apply to the mortuary arts fee fund.
