Section 53-5a28 - Notary public commission in effect(a) A commission or appointment as a notary public in effect on January 1, 2022, continues until its date of expiration. A notary public who applies to renew a commission as a notary public on or after January 1, 2022, is subject to and shall comply with this act. A notary public, in performing notarial acts after January 1, 2022, shall comply with this act.(b) This section shall take effect on and after January 1, 2022.Added by L. 2021, ch. 64,§ 28, eff. 1/1/2022.
