Section 47-120 - Driving livestock along highway(a) Nothing herein contained shall be so construed as to prevent drovers or other persons from driving livestock from one place to another along any public highway, the owner or owners being responsible for all damages that any person or persons may sustain in consequence of the driving of such livestock.(b) For the purposes of K.S.A. 47-120 through 47-122, and amendments thereto, "livestock" shall mean any cattle, bison, swine, sheep, goats, horses, mules, domesticated deer, camelids, all creatures of the ratite family that are not indigenous to this state, including, but not limited to, ostriches, emus and rheas, and any other animal as deemed necessary by the animal health commissioner established through rules and regulations.Amended by L. 2012, ch. 125,§ 3, eff. 7/1/2012.G.S. 1868, ch. 105, § 54; Oct. 31; R.S. 1923, 47-120.
