Section 4-23-31-4 - Terms; removal of members; vacancies(a) A member of the commission may be removed at any time by the member's appointing authority.(b) The appointing authority shall fill a vacancy on the commission by appointing a new member for the unexpired term.(c) The terms of the legislative members are two (2) years in length and expire June 30 of each odd-numbered year.(d) A member of the commission appointed under section 3(11) through 3(13) of this chapter serves a four (4) year term that expires as follows: (1) For a member appointed under section 3(11) of this chapter, December 31, 2025, and every fourth year thereafter.(2) For a member appointed under section 3(12) or 3(13) of this chapter, June 30, 2025, and every fourth year thereafter.Amended by P.L. 42-2024,SEC. 52, eff. 3/11/2024.Added by P.L. 133-2012, SEC. 29, eff. 7/1/2012.
