Section 3-11.5-3-1 - Function of watchers The following apply for the purposes of IC 3-6-8, IC 3-6-9, and IC 3-6-10:
(1) A central location for counting absentee ballots shall be treated the same as a precinct poll.(2) An absentee ballot counter shall be treated the same as a precinct election official.(3) A major political party of a county is entitled to appoint the number of watchers equal to the number of teams of absentee ballot counters.Amended by P.L. 169-2015, SEC. 135, eff. 7/1/2015.As added by P.L. 3-1993, SEC.176 and P.L. 19-1993, SEC.2.
