(a) An individual who provides evidence to a health care facility that the individual was employed before July 1, 2009: (1) to provide surgical assistance;(2) under the supervision of a surgeon; and(3) in a health care facility; may provide surgical assistance in a health care facility.
(b) This chapter does not require a health care facility to permit an individual described in subsection (a) to provide surgical assistance at the health care facility.Added by P.L. 152-2024,SEC. 10, eff. 7/1/2024.
