Ind. Code § 22-4.1-4-3.3

Section 22-4.1-4-3.3 - As added by P.L. 109-2017 Employment and training programs priority for veterans
(a) As used in this section, "veteran" means an individual who satisfies the following:
(1) The individual is a resident of Indiana.
(2) The individual has previously served on active duty in any branch of the armed forces of the United States or their reserves, in the National Guard, or in the Indiana National Guard.
(3) The individual received an honorable discharge from service.
(b) Unless otherwise provided by federal law, the department shall give a veteran or the spouse of a veteran priority for placement in any federal or state employment or training program administered by the department if the veteran or the veteran's spouse:
(1) submits documentation satisfactory to the department establishing the veteran's honorable discharge from service; and
(2) meets the eligibility requirements for the program.
