Section 21-47-2-2 - Geological and water survey; establishment; purpose(a) The Indiana geological and water survey is established as a part of Indiana University.(b) The head of the survey is the state geologist.(c) The survey is under the direction and control of the board of trustees of Indiana University to: (1) continue the geological, hydrogeological, and scientific survey of Indiana;(2) continue the work of discovering, developing, and preserving the water, mineral, and energy resources of Indiana; and(3) have charge of the state geological sample collection.Pre-2007 Higher Education Recodification Citation: 20-12-28-2.
