Section 20-26-11-8.5 - No effect of P.L.36-1994 on rights, liabilities, penalties, crimes, proceedings before July 1, 1995, relating to paying transfer tuition

With regard to the transfer of responsibility for paying transfer tuition for certain students from the county to the school corporation of the student's legal settlement as described in IC 20-8.1-6.1-5 (as amended by P.L. 36-1994, before its repeal, now codified at section 8 of this chapter), P.L. 36-1994 does not affect:

(1) rights or liabilities accrued;

(2) penalties incurred;

(3) crimes committed; or

(4) proceedings begun;

before July 1, 1995. Those rights, liabilities, penalties, crimes, and proceedings continue and shall be imposed and enforced under prior law as if P.L. 36-1994 had not been enacted.
