Section 2-5-50-3 - Members(a) The task force consists of the following thirteen (13) members: (1) A legislative member appointed by the speaker.(2) A legislative member appointed by the minority leader of the house.(3) A legislative member appointed by the president pro tempore.(4) A legislative member appointed by the minority leader of the senate.(5) A member of the lieutenant governor's staff, to be appointed by the lieutenant governor.(6) The following members appointed by the lieutenant governor upon the recommendation of each represented organization or entity:(A) An individual representing the Indiana Builders Association.(B) An individual representing the Indiana Association of Realtors.(C) An individual representing the Indiana Apartment Association.(D) An individual representing Habitat for Humanity Indiana.(E) An individual representing the Indiana Bankers Association.(F) An individual representing the Accelerate Indiana Municipalities (AIM).(G) An individual representing the Hoosier Housing Needs Coalition.(H) An individual representing the Indiana Manufactured Housing Association. If a membership recommendation is not made by a represented organization or entity by June 2, 2022, the lieutenant governor shall appoint an individual who is not a representative of the organization or entity in place of a representative of the organization or entity.
(b) The speaker shall designate a member appointed under subsection (a)(1) or (a)(2) as a co-chair of the task force.(c) The president pro tempore shall designate a member appointed under subsection (a)(3) or (a)(4) as a co-chair of the task force.(d) A vacancy on the task force must be filled by the appointment of a replacement member by the appointing authority identified in subsection (a).Added by P.L. 99-2022,SEC. 1, eff. 3/11/2022.
