Section 14-37-4-15 - Violations(a) The department may assess a civil penalty of not more than ten thousand dollars ($10,000) against a person who violates section 1 or 2 of this chapter.(b) A person who knowingly or intentionally violates section 1 or 2 of this chapter commits a Level 6 felony if the violation relates to the operation of a Class II well.(c) A civil penalty assessed under this section shall be deposited in the oil and gas environmental fund established by IC 14-37-10-2.Added by P.L. 195-2014, SEC. 38, eff. 7/1/2014.
