Section 12-27-4-1 - Cases in which seclusion or restraint may be used

A service provider may use seclusion or restraint of a patient only in the following cases:

(1) When necessary to prevent danger of abuse or injury to the patient or others.
(2) As a measure of therapeutic treatment.
