Section 725 ILCS 207/45 - Deoxyribonucleic acid analysis requirements(a)(1) If a person is found to be a sexually violent person under this Act, the court shall require the person to provide a biological specimen for deoxyribonucleic acid analysis in accordance with Section 5-4-3 of the Unified Code of Corrections.(2) The results from deoxyribonucleic acid analysis of a specimen under paragraph (a)(1) of this Section may be used only as authorized by Section 5-4-3 of the Unified Code of Corrections.(b) The rules adopted by the Illinois State Police under Section 5-4-3 of the Unified Code of Corrections are the procedures that must be followed for persons to provide specimens under paragraph (a)(1) of this Section.Amended by P.A. 102-0538,§ 1050, eff. 8/20/2021.
