Section 725 ILCS 200/1 - Lie Detector Tests(a) No law enforcement officer, State's Attorney or other official shall ask or require an alleged victim of an offense described in Sections 11-1.20 through 11-1.60 or 12-13 through 12-16 of the Criminal Code of 1961 or the Criminal Code of 2012 to submit to a polygraph examination or any form of a mechanical or electrical lie detector test.(b) A victim's refusal to submit to a polygraph or any form of a mechanical or electrical lie detector test shall not mitigate against the investigation, charging or prosecution of the pending case as originally charged.Amended by P.A. 097-1150,§ 655, eff. 1/25/2013.Amended by P.A. 096-1551,§ 2-1050, eff. 7/1/2011.Amended by P.A. 096-1273,§ 5, eff. 1/1/2011.
