The educational requirements of Sections 55-10 and 60-10 of this Act relating to registered professional nursing and licensed practical nursing shall not be deemed to have been satisfied by the completion of any program of nursing that does not require coordinated or concurrent theory and clinical practice. The Department may, upon recommendation of the Board, grant an Illinois license to those applicants who have received advanced graduate degrees in nursing from an approved program with concurrent theory and clinical practice or to those applicants who are currently licensed in another state and have been actively practicing clinical nursing for a minimum of 2 years.
