Section 210 ILCS 45/1-125.1"Student intern" means any person whose total term of employment in any facility during any 12-month period is equal to or less than 90 continuous days, and whose term of employment:
(1) is an academic credit requirement in a high school or undergraduate or graduate institution;(2) immediately succeeds a full quarter, semester, or trimester of academic enrollment in either a high school or undergraduate or graduate institution, provided that such person is registered for another full quarter, semester, or trimester of academic enrollment in either a high school or undergraduate or graduate institution, which quarter, semester, or trimester will commence immediately following the term of employment; or(3) immediately succeeds graduation from the high school or undergraduate or graduate institution.Amended by P.A. 099-0078,§ 225, eff. 7/20/2015.Amended by P.A. 098-0121,§ 5, eff. 7/30/2013.
