Section 410 ILCS 18/62.20 - [Section Scheduled to be Repealed 1/1/2029] Administrative review; venue; certification of record; costs(a) All final administrative decisions of the Comptroller are subject to judicial review under the Administrative Review Law and its rules. The term "administrative decision" is defined as in Section 3-101 of the Code of Civil Procedure.(b) Proceedings for judicial review shall be commenced in the circuit court of the county in which the party applying for review resides, but if the party is not a resident of Illinois, the venue shall be in Sangamon County.(c) The Comptroller shall not be required to certify any record of the court, file an answer in court, or to otherwise appear in any court in a judicial review proceeding unless and until the Comptroller has received from the plaintiff payment of the costs of furnishing and certifying the record, which costs shall be determined by the Comptroller . Failure on the part of the plaintiff to make such payment to the Comptroller is grounds for dismissal of the action.Amended by P.A. 097-0679,§ 30, eff. 2/6/2012.Amended by P.A. 096-0863,§ 90-25, eff. 3/1/2012.
