The Architect of the Capitol may change the master plan and shall submit changes in the master plan that relate to areas other than the State Capitol Building to the Capitol Historic Preservation Board for its review and comment. All changes in the master plan must be submitted to and approved by the Board of the Office of the Architect of the Capitol before implementation.
The Architect may enter into agreements with other State agencies for the provision of materials or performance of services necessary for the implementation of the master plan.
State officers and agencies providing normal, day-to-day repair, maintenance, or landscaping or providing security, commissary, utility, parking, banking, tour guide, event scheduling, or other operational services for buildings and facilities within the legislative complex immediately prior to the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 93rd General Assembly shall continue to provide that normal, day-to-day repair, maintenance, or landscaping or those services on the same basis, whether by contract or employees, that the repair, maintenance, landscaping, or services were provided immediately prior to the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 93rd General Assembly, subject to the provisions of the master plan and with the approval of or as otherwise directed by the Architect of the Capitol.
