A burial benefit of up to a maximum of $20,000 shall be payable to the surviving spouse or estate of a law enforcement officer or fireman who is killed in the line of duty after June 30, 2018 .
The Attorney General and the Court of Claims may jointly adopt rules and procedures for the implementation of this Section.
