Section 124B-187 - Subornation of perjury(a) Any person subject to this chapter who induces and procures another person to: (1) Take an oath or affirmation; and(2) Falsely testify, depose, or state upon the oath or affirmation, shall, if the conditions specified in subsection (b) are satisfied, be punished as directed by a court-martial.(b) The conditions referred to in subsection (a) are the following: (1) The oath or affirmation is administered with respect to a matter for which the oath or affirmation is required or authorized by law;(2) The oath or affirmation is administered by a person having authority to do so;(3) Upon the oath or affirmation, the other person wilfully makes or subscribes a statement;(4) The statement is material;(5) The statement is false; and(6) When the statement is made or subscribed, the person subject to this chapter and the other person do not believe that the statement is true.Added by L 2022, c 286,§ 2, eff. 1/1/2023.
