Section 4b-54 - (Formerly Sec. 4-134). Designs of public structures to be submitted to Commissioner of Administrative Services. Work of art for Capitol to be submitted to Legislative Management Committee
(a) No public monument, memorial, building or other structure shall become the property of the state unless a design for the same and its proposed location has been submitted to the Commissioner of Administrative Services for his advice. No construction or erection of any such structure shall be begun unless the design and proposed location has been so submitted to the commissioner.
(b) No painting, portrait, statue or tablet shall be accepted for placing in a building under the supervision and control of the Joint Committee on Legislative Management or on the grounds thereof until it has been submitted to said joint committee, which shall advise as to the hanging of paintings, portraits and pictures and the placement of statues and other works of art.
