Section 46b-533 - Order validating a genetic surrogacy agreement
(a) Except as otherwise provided in section 75 of this act, a genetic surrogacy agreement shall be validated by a Probate Court. A proceeding to validate the agreement shall be commenced before the assisted reproduction related to the surrogacy agreement.
(b) Upon examination of the parties, the court shall issue an order validating a genetic surrogacy agreement if the court finds that:
(1) Sections 61 to 63, inclusive, of this act are satisfied; and
(2) All parties entered into the agreement voluntarily and understand its terms.
(c) A person who terminates a genetic surrogacy agreement under section 73 of this act shall file notice of the termination with the court. On receipt of the notice, the court shall vacate any order issued under subsection (b) of this section. A person who shall not notify the court of the termination of the agreement shall be subject to sanctions.
