Section 4-60d - Legislative Committee on State Planning and Development(a) There is established a Continuing Legislative Committee on State Planning and Development, to consist of ten members, five to be members of the Senate, one of whom shall be the senate chairperson of the joint standing committee having cognizance of matters relating to state development, two of whom shall be appointed by the president pro tempore of the Senate, one of whom shall be appointed by the majority leader of the Senate and one of whom shall be appointed by the minority leader of the Senate, and five to be members of the House of Representatives, one of whom shall be the house chairperson of the joint standing committee having cognizance of matters relating to state development, two of whom shall be appointed by the speaker of the House of Representatives, one of whom shall be appointed by the majority leader of the House of Representatives and one of whom shall be appointed by the minority leader of the House of Representatives.(b) Said committee shall establish broad goals and objectives for the physical and economic development of the state and shall transmit such goals and objectives to the Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management.(c) Said committee shall receive from the Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management any plan or plans or portion thereof and shall consider the effect of such plans on state goals and objectives and determine the need for legislative action thereon.(1967, P.A. 697, S. 4, 5; P.A. 77-614, S. 21, 610; P.A. 79-31, S. 7, 17; P.A. 93-196, S. 2, 3.)
