Section 5-40.1-9 - Graduate practice
(a) Any individual who graduates from an approved occupational therapy school who has filed a completed application for licensure, may upon receiving a receipt from the division, perform as an occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant under the supervision of an occupational therapist licensed in this state, until the next scheduled examination.
(b) If this applicant fails to take the next succeeding examination without cause, or fails to pass the examination and receive a license, all privileges provided in subsection (a) automatically cease. This applicant shall, during the interim period (between time of application and examination), identify himself or herself only as a "graduate occupational therapist" or "graduate occupational therapy assistant."
