Section 11-52-5 - Penalties(a) Any person who is convicted of an offense which is classified as a felony under this chapter shall be fined not more than five thousand dollars ($5,000), or imprisoned for not more than five (5) years, or both.(b) Any person who is convicted of an offense which is classified as a misdemeanor under this chapter shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars ($500), or imprisoned for not more than one year, or both.P.L. 1979, ch. 217, § 1; G.L. 1956, § 11-52-4; P.L. 1983, ch. 246, § 3; P.L. 1989, ch. 71, § 1; P.L. 1989, ch. 136, § 1.
