A person who, in order to obtain a financial gain, intentionally falsifies, forges, conceals, defaces or obliterates a document of gift, an amendment or revocation of a document of gift or a refusal to make a gift shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for not more than 5 years or in a house of correction for not more than 2 1/2 years or by a fine of not more than $50,000 or by both such fine and imprisonment.
