Section 548.056 - Prohibited financial interests in participant; penalties(1) A member of the commission; an employee of the commission; a referee or judge licensed by the commission; or an attending physician may not have any direct or indirect financial or pecuniary interest in any participant.(2)(a) A manager, trainer, or second of any participant shall not have any direct or indirect financial or pecuniary interest in the opponent in any contest in which her or his own participant participates.(b) A participant shall not have any direct or indirect financial or pecuniary interest in her or his opponent in any contest.(3) A violation of this section is a misdemeanor of the second degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083.ss. 2, 4, ch. 84-246; s. 14, ch. 88-365; s. 4, ch. 91-429; s.773, ch. 97-103; s.8, ch. 2004-69.
