Section 2607 - Delaware state lead-based paint program(a) A program is created in the Department to be known as the Delaware State Lead-Based Paint Program.(b) Subject to subsection (c) of this section the Program shall exist and operate independently of any other lead-based paint abatement or remediation program in this State.(c) The Program shall coordinate its efforts with any other lead-based paint abatement or remediation program in this State to ensure efficient use of State funds.Added by Laws 2023, ch. 102,s 3, eff. 7/17/2023.Section 4 of the 2023 enacting legislation provides that the Department of Finance shall investigate funding sources for the Delaware State Lead-Based Paint Program and shall provide a report of the findings of the investigation to the Governor, Chair and Vice-Chair of the Joint Finance Committee, and Director and Librarian of the Division of Research of Legislative Council not later than January 1, 2024.
